Jenna Fischer was 'genuinely in love' with her office co-star John Krasinski.

Jenna Fischer, the star of the TV show The Office has admitted that her love for her co-star John Krasinski was genuine.

When she was asked about it in Watch What Happens Live , she told the caller- “John and I have real chemistry. There’s like a real part of me that is Pam and a real part of him that’s Jim. And those parts of us were genuinely in love with one another”

The statement gathered wide criticism, especially since both of them are already married. Jenna is married to her second husband Lee Kirk with whom she has two children while John is married to actress Emily Blunt. They are expecting their second baby. Both Jenna and John married to their respective partners in 2010.

However, John has recently stated how Jenna’s statement was interpreted in a misleading way or how she was unable to express herself properly.

'I'm sure she was trying to say something nice about how genuine the acting relationship was, of bringing a relationship that became that popular onscreen - and I think we both feel it's such an honor to be a part of that relationship,' the 36-year-old told The Daily Beast.

Jenna and John’s love story in the Office is highly praised by the audience totally in love with their characters, Jim, and Pam. They were on-screen lovers for around 8 years which might be the reason for their intimacy. Regardless, Jenna’s statement is highly misunderstood.

“As far as how she was quoted about saying we were ‘genuinely in love,’ I think that was taken wildly out of context and I feel bad for her.”

Their on-screen relationship is very much cherished by the fans and is the epitome of a perfect relationship.

In 2013, John told Today-

"I don't think Jenna and I ever knew what was coming, as far as people not only watching the show, but actually being involved with our characters, That people said, 'My relationship is just like your relationship,' or 'I want a relationship like that,' or 'Oh my God, my boyfriend proposed to me in a similar way!' -- it was just so amazing to be part of a family with our fan:"
