American politician of the Republican Party, Scott Taylor opened up about his past life, professional experience and his take on marriage in an interview with The Washington Times.
Taylor has previously been seen in national interviews on radio and news networks discussing mainly on topics as foreign policy, military issues and national security. So, this would be the first time we will know about his personal life.
Taylor was raised by her mother in the small town of Hebron which is located at Maryland. He began working in a farm to help his mother at the early age of 11. He was regarded to be very sincere and a hardworking student. After he completed his studies in high school, he was selected in the United States Navy. He served with the SEAL for eight years in South and Central America. He was mainly involved in counternarcotic and foreign internal defense missions.
Among his most sought after mission is Operation Iraqi Freedom where he served as SEAL sniper. He spent two years as a SEAL instructor where he taught marksmanship and reconnaissance to fellow militants.
After eight years of military service, he worked in security consulting and critical infrastructure protection.
Since he had joined Navy after his high school, he decided to earn his Bachelor degree. He obtained his Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree, studying International Relations from Harvard University Extension School. He even holds a Master’s Certificate in Government Contracting at Old Dominion University.
Talking about his personal life, at the age of 30, he has been missing a partner in his life. When asked about his thought on marriage, he said he is not prepared to get married and the idea of wife and children scares him. It was quite surprising to know that such a brave soldier is scared with the idea of getting married.
When asked what he looks for in a wife, he said that he wanted a simple woman who would give him love and support in every stage of his life. He added, saying that he wanted his wife to be like his mother who would love him immensely.
He believes that relationship should be carved with love and care. There must be mutual understanding otherwise there is no future in that relationship.
Taylor does not want to get into a marital relationship and end up in divorce. After the death of his mother, he has been living with his only family member, Cole, his German shepherd.
Scott Taylor was elected to the Virginia House of Delegates in November, 2013. He is an author and a licensed Real Estate Broker. He has also served on the board of the Underwater Demolition team/ SEAL museum and the Virginia Beach Forum. He is the founder of Special Operations OPSEC Education Fund, which is a National Security Political Action Committee.
