How did Bessie Coleman Die?

Bessie Coleman was only 34 years when she died. According to the nationalaviation.org, she died in an accident and died tragically on April 30, 1926. She died during her rehearsal in Jacksonville, Florida. Also, her publicity and mechanic agent William Wills was killed in the accident.

Actually, the plane was poorly maintained by the previous owner. Only after 10 minutes of the flight, the plane went into a dive and spun round and round. Wills was piloting the plane whereas Coleman did not have her seatbelt. She was thrown out from the plane from the height of 2,000 feet and died upon hitting hard on the ground. Wills was unable to control the pilot and thus was killed.
