Brad Falchuk was born to a physician father, Dr. Kenneth H. Falchuk and mother, Nancy Falchuk. Nancy served as the national president of Hadassah Women’s Zionist Organization of America from 2007 to 2011. He grew up with his older brother, Evan Falchuk.

Brad Falchuk started his career writing from series like Earth: Final Conflict, Mutant X and Veritas: The Quest. He was a hired writer for Nip/Tuck first season, where he met Ryan Murphy, creator of the series, with whom he would later collaborate on various big projects.

Falchuk and Murphy later collaborated with Ian Brennan to create an hour-long comedy series about a glee club. The show, Glee, was picked up by Fox and premiered in 2009 and ran for 6 seasons until 2015. Falchuk and the other two received two nominations in Writers Guild of America Award.

He and Murphy created horror-drama series, American Horror Story, that premiered in 2011. The show finished its eighth season in November 2018 and will start the ninth in September 2019.
