Oooh! Look what we’ve got here, one more of the infamous twitter beef! And who do we have here this time? It’s none other than former fashion model Rebecca Romjin VS current “supermodels” Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner. So what really happened? Let’s dive right into it and dig up some dirt!

It all started with Rebeca Romjin’s little chit-chat with Entertainment Tonight where she expressed her opinions on the new and budding models Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid,

“No one has proven yet that numbers of followers translates to revenue. So it is frustrating. I know a lot of people — legitimate fashion people — can’t stand it. Hate it that these, you know, social media stars are now the supermodels in fashion. They are not true supermodels.”

She went on adding,

“And the thing is, I have always looked to Vogue magazine to lead the way, not be a follower. I rely on Vogue to set the standard, not follow what everybody else is doing. So I have been disappointed that fashion magazines have been supporting this trend of social media stars to set our style standards. But it will change; fashion always does.”

Yes, Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid do have quite a number of followers on social media. The number being 58.2 million for Kendall Jenner on Instagram and 18.2 million for Gigi Hadid. But their followers on social media aren’t the only reason to their success and Yolanda Foster couldn’t help but express great dismay at Rebecca Romjin’s words! Foster, Hadid’s mom, wrote on Twitter,

“Kind, hard working and they accomplished more at half your age in the fashion industry @KendallJenner @GiGiHadid

Followed by another tweet that read,

"It’s THEIR hard work and daily commitment to their profession that got them where they R today #NoParentsInvolved"

But then again if it was just their popularity contributing to their success then these girls wouldn’t have come all this way long. Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner have faced problems for being famous for a long time now, remember when a model spit on Kendall’s drink? Yeah! It’s high time we cut these girls some slack already! Anyways here’s a message Kendall has for her haters!
