Speaking on Genzebe’s career; she started her running profession in 2008 by winning the women’s title. In 2009, Genzebe won the IAAF World Cross Country Championship. She also became one of the youngest women ever to win two Junior Cross Championships in a row.

In no time, Tirunesh became the only person to win back to back in 10,000 meters. Nonetheless, she also became the youngest champion for Ethiopia at the Olympics.
