Sandra Kaye Smith, best known as a reporter for Fox Business Network has been recently been in the news for being one of the first all-female debate moderation team for the GOP Debate that took place earlier this year. Smith, 36 has been a household name ever since she started her career as a reporter for the Fox News Network back in 2007.She is also a co-host for Fox News Channel’s “Outnumbered” and regularly appears in Fox News’ TV shows “Hannity” every Wednesday.

Sandra Smith has been hosting the republican GOP debate along with the Emmy nominated investigative journalist and author, Trish Regan being the first female duo to moderate a debate. Earlier, Sandra hosted the GOP debate with Gerald Sieb as well.

In an interview with Refinary29, Sandra spoke of the GOP debate as,
“It’s an exciting moment! I think a lot of people are excited for this. It could be potentially game-changing…two debates certainly allows [for more questions], and it’s just still necessary, at this point.”

In another interview with Multichannel news, Smith criticized Rand Paul’s decision to boycott the undercard debate stating, “That first debate is still key for these candidates to be in a position to make a big move if they want to. There’s less people in that first debate. They clearly can get their message across if they choose to.”

Originally from Wheaton, a suburb in Illinois, Sandra started her business career as a research Associate at Aegis Capital Group. She then went on to work for Terra Nova Institutional in Chicago where she met her then-future-husband John Connolly, who conducted media coverage for the firm. Connolly prepared Smith for the firm’s TV coverage and that is how she started as an on-air reporter for Bloomberg Network.

Smith & Connolly got married in 2010 and have two children now. Although media personalities seem to have a tough time having a decent private life and often ending marriages in a divorce, this power couple’s ship seems to be going smooth with no storm anywhere to be seen.

A former track runner, Sandra has won many outdoor championships along with her Louisiana State University’s track team. Smith also holds the school number 2 all-time spot in steeplechase, a 3,000-meter run featuring hurdles and water jumps. Comparing debate prep to running for a race, she told Runner’s World, “It involves constant, constant preparation. It is writing questions, updating questions, throwing questions out. It’s staying on top of absolutely everything and everything that every candidate says and does. I lay in bed at night thinking about questions…it’s a total adrenaline rush. I don’t get nervous about it at all, because I feel like we’re so prepared, but when the adrenaline kicks in, it is fun.”

The star track runner and reporter has not yet expressed her net worth but given her record of outstanding works, she must definitely have an excellent salary pay and net worth millions.
