As a CEO and CPA (Chief Product Architect) of Tesla Motors, he has named himself to alternative energy and space technologies. He is born Canadian-American business tycoon, an engineer, and investor. He also is the CEO and founder of SpaceX and SolarCity; along with co-chairman of OpenAI.
Elon is an idealistic person. His goal and mission to reduce global warming became true when he started analysing sustainable energy production and consumption through SolarCity and Tesla. Elon Musk Childhood
Elon Musk formerly Elon Reeve Musk was born on 28 July 1971 in Transvaal, South Africa as the son of Maye and Errol Musk. His mother was a model from Canada and his father was an electromechanical engineer. He has a younger brother and sister named Kimball and Tosca. He was 9 years old when his parents divorced. After that, he started living with his father in South Africa.
Elon developed enthusiasm in computing when he was 10. He learned computer programming at the kindling age of 12 and created a video game named Blaster and sold it for $500. However being creative doesn't help as he was bullied because of that. He was hospitalised when a team of notorious boys threw him off the stairs and beat him severely.

Elon Musk attended private schools named Waterkloof House Preparatory School. He graduated from Pretoria Boys High School. In June 1989, he moved to Canada and obtained citizenship of Canada through his mother.
Musk got eligibility pass into Queen's University in Ontario for studies. In 1992, he was transferred to the University of Pennsylvania from where he graduated in BSc in Physics. To finish his second degree, BSc Economics from Wharton School of Business; he waited one year.

Elon Musk career started when his brother Kimbal established a web software company named Zip2 with an initial capital of $28000. Elon's plan was to become CEO of the company which was denied by the board of members. Later Compaq acquired Zip2 from which Musk received $22 million as compensation.
In 1999 March, Musk co-founded X.com aimed for email payment with $10 million out of $22 million from Zip2. In 2000, a year later from the establishment, the company was merged with Confinity; the business that had PayPal service for money transferring. This company was renamed as PayPal in 2001. Musk worked as CEO of the company for around 7 months. On October 2000, he was overthrown from the CEO position due to some disagreement with leadership. Later in October 2002, eBay acquired PayPal for $1.5 billion out of which he received $165 million.
In 2001, Musk came up with the project named ‘Mars Oasis’ with a concept of landing a miniature to experiment greenhouse effect on Mars. With $100 million out of $165 million fortune, he founded SpaceX (Space Exploration Technologies) in 2002. This company was established with the aim to launch space vehicles. In June 2016, Musk stated to launch the very first unmanned flight of MCT (Mars Colonial Transporter) to Mars within 2022.
Elon Musk got involved with Tesla Motors founded by Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning. Musk led an investment in 2004 February for the Series A, which led him to become chairman. Musk was the one to get involved actively for Roadster car.
Musk became Chief Product Architect in 2008, the position which he still holds. Tesla Motors built Tesla Roadster with more than 2500 pre-orders. The company began to evolve as an electric car maker. Musk played an important role in luring giant car manufacturers like Daimler, Mercedes, and Toyota for electric powertrain system that Tesla sells.
In February 2016, Tesla Motors official domain name ‘tesla.com’ is acquired by Musk which was named before to Stu Grossman since 1992.
After 2 years of involvement in Tesla, Musk co-founded SolarCity in 2006. SolarCity as of now is the second largest solar system provider next to Verengo Solar Company in America. On June 2016, SolarCity was offered to be acquired by Tesla Motors.
Musk is also known for his Hyperloop concept. He unveiled this project on 12th August 2013 which states to be the best transportation concept till date. Musk also announced a competition for the design to build prototypes within SpaceX sponsorship. The hyperloop track is under construction and the prototype competition is scheduled for August 2016.
Elon Musk Marriages
Elon first married to Canadian author Justine Wilson in 2000. They met while studying at Queen’s University, Ontario. The couple got separated after having six sons including one deceased born through IVF in 2008.
Later, he began dating Talulah Riley and married her in 2010. They got separated in 2012 January; Musk announced the four-year relationship has come to an end. However, Musk remarried to Riley in 2013. At the end of 2014, Musk filed divorce petition which was withdrawn. Finally, in March 2016, Riley filed for divorce petition against Musk.
The divorce with his second wife made a huge hullabaloo. She received $16 million along with Tesla Roadster, diamond jewellery set, and Gucci watches.

Musk owns a luxurious house in Los Angeles. This house covers 1.66-acre plot at the top of a hill. To say the house is lavish might underestimate the beauty of house as its area tops around 20000 square feet. The house is designed with seven bedrooms with attached bathrooms, guest rooms for guests and meetings, swimming pool and full-sized tennis court. Elon officially bought this house in 2013; before he was renting.

Musk owns the Lotus Espirit submarine car from 007 James Bond movie; The Spy Who Loved Me. He bought this car to transform it to a functional concept. Apart from that, he owns McLaren F1 supercar.
