Belgium National player Edan Hazard is undeniably  a strong asset for Chelsea when he is on the top of his game. Chelsea goalkeeper Asmir Begovic agrees with this statement.

"I watched him last year and he's been frustrated with his season and injuries, but he looked really fresh and he was excited about the game," said Begovic on Chelsea's official website after the stunning 4-1 win against Bournemouth last Saturday.

"He attracts so many of the other team's defensive players, which frees up other guys to do their thing. When he's on top of his game he's a huge asset to us."

We can all agree that this was not the best season for Hazard. Despite appearing in around 40 games, he was only able to hit the net 5 times. After  2,358-minute of the scoreless run, he finally scored a goal in the fourth round of FA cup against Milton Keynes Dons.

His latest goal came from the League winner deciding match against Tottenham Hotspurs. Chelsea was down by 2 goals until the half time. Although Cahill was able to score and give Chelsea a fighting chance, it was Hazard who made it possible. The result was Leicester winning the trophy and Hazard stealing the show. The goal by Hazard not only pleased the Chelsea fans but also made Leicester fan go party.

'It's something beautiful for the world of football when a smaller team does something like that,' said Hazard.

Not only was it the league winner decider but a very important match of Spurs in another aspect. They haven’t won against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge for 26 years and it was Hazard who denied them yet again.

'We know Tottenham haven't won at Stamford Bridge for many years so it's good for us the players, and for the fans too. We know how important it is for them that we win derby games, or at least don't lose them”, stated Hazard.

Captain John Terry congratulated Leicester for their win and assured that Spurs will not win on their home ground as long as he is around.

The atmosphere was undeniably intense and joyful at the same time with Chelsea fan chanting Leicester’s name. All the Chelsea fan, Manchester United, Barcelona’s, PSG’s were happy for Leicester.

Last year’s champion Chelsea didn’t have much luck this season. But after Mourinho’s sacking, they are at least keeping up the pace. If they had been playing like they are doing now, maybe they would have been at the top table, who knows!

Hazard believes that their team is ready to rule the top table again from next season. We are psyched to see how the next season will turn out.
