Director Brad Bird confirms the sequel of 'The Incredibles' movies

Fans of the animated movie ‘The Incredibles’ were sure that they would never see a sequel to the movie as it had been over eleven years since the movie took over the world. However Brad Bird, the director of the movie, rejuvenated, or in other words awakened the spirit of millions of fans all over the world when he announced the second part to the movie was under production and would release in the year 2019.

The Incredibles 2 will be releasing in 2019, fifteen years after its predecessor engulfed cartoon fans of all ages. The movie is set to premier in the US on June 21. Among the cast members so far, only Samuel .L Jackson has confirmed that he will be reprising his role of Frozone.

Whereas, the other cast members still have to come forth with their confirmation. The movie is going to be written and directed by Brad. Earlier this year, he confirmed that he had already begun writing the screenplay for the movie.

He also said that the film will be focusing on the dynamics within the superhero family and not reenacting the superhero genre theme. Brad announced that he will be teaming up with Michael Giacchino for the film’s score. Michael also composed the score for the first film.

The studio has also already released the logo for the new film. The new logo has had significant change from the first film. The color of the logo is orange and the emblem is golden yellow with white in the center. The design for the movie was first showcased in the D23 Expo in august 2015.

Brad, as a film maker, is one of the most successful in animated box office history. He also has done remarkably well in the awards section. He, so far, has already bagged two Academy Awards. Some of his distinguished movies are “The Iron Giant”, “Ratatouille” and “Mission Impossible-Ghost Protocol”.

His latest movie “Tomorrowland” and “Jurassic World” have already grossed more than $1 Billion dollars. This year, he is second only to Star Wars director J.J Abraham in terms of box office success.

He has also confirmed that his next project until 2019 is going to be “The Incredibles 2” and he will not be doing anything else. In his recent interviews, he said that the upcoming movie will need immense dedication in order to surpass its predecessor. That is why he intends to not involve himself in any other projects till the movie is completed.

He also has been planning to write children books on the characters of ‘The Incredibles’ and has said he may look into it more attentively after the completion of the movie.
