Dennis Hastert will not appeal his 15-month sentence.

It has popped in the news that Dennis Hastert who is former U.S. House Speaker is set not to appeal at all regarding his 15-month sentence. He is convicted for bank violations that came up with his activity of making silent money payments to cover up sexual abuse. It was confirmed by his lawyers.

John Gallo, Hastert's Chicago-based attorney, confirmed Hastert will not appeal the prison sentence in an email to the Tribune.

Hastert was finalized for the sentence last month by U.S. District Judge Thomas Durkin. Durkin remarked him to be ‘a liar’ and ‘a serial child molester’. Hastert who used his position as a trusted wrestling coach at Yorkville High School decades ago so that he could sexually molest five boys connected to the team.

He was petitioned in the October for illegally structuring $950,000 in bank withdrawals and violated reporting rules. He then himself admitted that he has been making withdrawals to pay a longtime contact. Later it is found that he was doing so to hide his bad works in the past.
