Inside Edition host, Deborah Norville is going under the knife after a viewer noticed a lump on her neck. The lump turned out to be a cancerous thyroid nodule for which she is undergoing surgery and taking time off from the show.
She said,
“We live in a world of see something, say something, and I'm really glad we do. When you work on television, viewers comment on everything. Your hair, your makeup, the dress you’re wearing. And a long time ago an 'Inside Edition' viewer reached out to say she’d seen something on my neck. It was a lump.”
The lump was originally thought to be benign but recently, the doctor told that it was a localized form of cancer. The TV host asked for prayers before the surgery. She thanked fans through Twitter.

While she won’t be available for some time due to the surgery, Diane McInerney will take her place in Inside Edition. She has been hosting the syndicated television newsmagazine since 1995, making her the longest-serving female anchor on national television.
She has been working since 1987 and has hosted shows like CBS News, Today and NBC News at Sunrise. She has accumulated a net worth of $6 million from her work on TV. She is married to Karl G. Wellner, President of the Board of The New York Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children.
