Racing Jockey Damien Oliver recently failed the breath test. Due to this, he was suspended from racing for a month.
In the alcohol test, both of them had blown over the set limit. While the limit was 0.020, Damien blew 0.038 in the initial test and 0.035 fifteen minutes later, thereby failing the alcohol test.
Winner of ten times Racing Victoria's Scobie Breasley Medal felt embarrassed by his action and released statement of apology.
“I’m very embarrassed by my actions down there at Warrnambool and my main reason I wanted to come on (radio) was to apologise to everyone — the Warrnambool Race Club, the punters, all the owners and trainers that I let down there yesterday and over the next coming days with me not being able to ride."
