Compressed Natural Gas (CNG ), is mostly the composed of methane gas, which is below 1% of the volume it contains at a standard atmospheric pressure which remains clear, non-corrosive, odorless also can be used as a greener, cheaper and more efficient replacement for the diesel and petrol.
As supply through the pipeline system, it also contains hydrocarbons like propane and ethane other different gases like nitrogen, carbon dioxide, Sulphur compounds, helium, and water vapor. Natural gas is lighter than air thus will basically disappear in the case of a leak, which is taking as a significant safety benefit over LPG or gasoline
How does CNG work in Vehicle?
While CNG contacts the combustion chamber, it mixes with air, is ignited through a spark and energy from the detonation moves the vehicle.
While some of the vehicles use natural gas, most vehicles use the gaseous form compressed to 3,000. Almost all combustion engine can be switched to run a natural gas, also many manufacturers provide a hybrid version, which can turn into gasoline and CNG without changing in functionality.

Can CNG be the best alternative to Gasoline?
Here, we have taken out some information which shows that it could overtake the use of Petrol, Diesel or Gasoline.
CNG is among the most useful alternatives to liquid fuels for a vehicle, which is cheaper and costs only one-third of super gasoline, so it is going to be significant saving in fuel costs.
Not only the regular fuel cost, it also reduces maintenance cost, Further, it contains no additional parts and burns clearly by leaving no by-products of combustion to contaminate spark plugs of a vehicle and its engine oil.
The combustion chamber parts work at high output for a longer time before requiring service. The engine oil remains clear as well, which decreases engine wear and requires fewer frequent changes.
Significantly, it is also environment-friendly, its engines run CNG engines run more softly because of its higher octane rating over gasoline and they create fewer exhaust emissions. Harmful emissions like Carbon dioxide (CO2), Carbon Monoxide (CO) and Nitrous Oxide (N2O) can be decreased near to 95% if compared to gasoline powered vehicles.
Additionally, it is safer than any other fuel, which is designed and developed to international standards and also monitored highly to ensure secure operation. This fuel mechanism is also sealed that protects any spill or evaporation losses.
