Comedian Jay Mohr To Divorce Wife Nikki Cox, Claims Her Unfit For Child's Custody, His Past Affairs

A well-known American actor, comedian, and radio host, Jay Mohr is best known for his role of Professor Rick Payne which he played in the TV series Ghost Whisper. Jay, as a host is currently hosting his own podcast Mohr Stories on the SModcast Network.

The 46-year-old American stand-up comedian has been married for twice and he is also divorced for both the times. He has recently filed for divorce against his second wife Nikki Cox in 2016 where he has also asked for his child's custody claiming that Nikki is unfit for child's custody.

Well, the romantic married relation of Jay Mohr and Las Vegas actress Nikki has ended after taking a legal divorce last year. After spending 10 long years with each other, Jay filed a case for divorce on December 15, 2016.

After he filed for divorce, he told ET in an exclusive statement that there's still love between them. He said,

This is not a story for the news. This story is eternal and for our hearts. Two people fell in love and loved with everything they had. Those two people still love each other. Celebrate that. Print LOVE over and over if you print anything about our home and the love we still share.

Three months after he filed for divorce, he has drawn some kind of attention towards himself after he claimed Nikki has a serious drug problem and she is not in good position for her mental health. So that he has appealed to the court for his sole custody of his 5-year-old son.

People reported that the 'Saturday night Live' alum filed to request sole physical custody and joint legal custody of their son on March 10. Mohr said in the court document as "Based upon the increasing hostility in our home, Nikki’s ongoing refusal to attend her mental health issues … her abuse of drugs, and her failure to respect boundaries, I had no choice but to obtain alternate housing for me and our son."

After 4 long years of marriage, the couple welcomed their first child together in May 2011. It is reported that actress Nikki gave birth to their first son Meredith Daniel Mohr on 5th of May.
