CBS TV Show host Jane Pauley has seen a lot in her life. She has suffered through bipolar disorder and still managed to be one of the most sought out female American television journalists of all time. Now, this talented woman has turned 64 and as she is climbing the ladder of success, the former NBC Today host seems to be more into work, unlike other people her age. She is still quite active in the field of journalism and media, but that does not mean that she will be stopping herself from exploring new things.
The mother of three is eager to go out and do interesting stuff now that her children are grown up. The active lady wants to try out something different, something she never had a chance to do during her life, because of her work and health issues.
The NBC host, who suffered serious allergic reactions of food that resulted in hives, was hospitalized several times at the age of 7, 14, and 21. The popular TV host was then diagnosed with bipolar disorder back in 2004 has been under a medication of lithium. She has admitted that her bipolar disorder was the result of medications that she had to take as the treatment of hives. She once revealed that she never wanted to talk about either of the diseases because it did not help her or anyone to move forward in life.

With the help of a source close to Pauley, we came to know that she wants to escape away from the prison of bipolar and live a normal life. The informant revealed that the anchor is still under medications for the disorder and she feels like she is trapped within. .
The source said: “Jane feels trapped within. She is 64 and her children are all grown up. They have their own happy life, so she has been thinking about herself a lot lately. I guess this is the first time she has ever taken the time to do herself a favor. Her life has always been the same; work and family.”
The insider added: “She is perfectly happy with her husband Garry, but it kills him to see her struggling with her illness. He is quite supportive and he has been telling her out to go out sometimes and explore places. And she is thinking of giving it a shot.
“She has decided to take some time off from her job and do some traveling. Garry has been telling her, ‘a little change in the environment, a tour would help you sooth your heart and mind,” and she has finally reconsidered it and she is going.”
