Inking your body is something fascinating and it’s going on from ages. People often like something related to themselves to remember throughout their lives and with the passage of time the tattoo art is getting more fetal and darker. So, today we have a story of an eyeball tattoo procedure gone wrong.
A Canadian woman recently revealed a disserving image of her botched eyeball tattoo and has shared how it may affect her vision. The Ottowa resident and body modification enthusiast Catt Gallinger, did sclera tattoo on her eyeball with the help of an unqualified artist on 5th of September and got accidentally over inked resulting swelling inside her eyeball and loss of vision.
Despite keeping up with her aftercare, her eye is not getting any better. Over the top, she discovered her eye started swelling and was leaking purple ink.

The former pet nutritionist after four weeks of undergoing the procedure has completely lost her left eye vision. Gallinger was rushed to hospital after noticing the color oozing from her right eye and was administered with antibiotic eye drops.
After the antibiotic eye drop showed a reverse effect, she experienced heavy swelling around her eyes and experienced reduction of vision in two weeks’ time of inking her eyes.
The doctors then tried steroid which further exacerbated her condition, causing the purple substance to clump around the cornea area.
It looks like a desire for more attractive looks and body modification has claimed the vision of Ms. Catt Gallinger. The sad event was shared by Catt herself in Facebook which is completely bizarre.
Catt shared:
"I was on antibiotic drops for the first week and a half and have been on steroid drops for four days now, with little success at bringing down the internal swelling”
She further Added:
"As it stands, it has been agreed by both doctors and the surgeon that my eyesight will NOT get better. It will either go completely or stay a blurry mess."

The 24-year-old said she went to the hospital three times and is currently looking at surgical options and is now waiting for her reports from a cornea specialist which will arrive on Friday.

Some specialists after seeing her video on social media have claimed the work must have been done by an unprofessional artist who might lack the proper training and use of too much-undiluted ink.
We request all of our readers to not try Sclera tattooing randomly because if it goes wrong, one can lose his/her vision and transmit viruses and this even lead to more serious infections.
