Rufus Hannah famous as Rufus the Stunt Bum was an American advocate who hit the spotlight for appearing in the early Bumfights videos. Besides Bumfights, he released a book "A Bum Deal: An Unlikely Journey from Hopeless to Humanitarian."

"Bumfights" actor Rufus Hannah Died at the age of 63
Hannah who fought and performed dangerous stunts in the notorious "Bumfights" is no longer physically with us. Police said that Hannah died in a car crash. He was a passenger in the car which collided with a truck at the age of 63.
Hannah was a passenger in a car driven by his sister that got crash head-on into the side of semi-truck outside the town of Swainsboro, Georgia State Patrol Sgt. Jeffrey Chain.

Hannah's sister had a head injury but survived. Sadly, Hannah did not survive and passed away on October 4, 2017, Wednesday. One of the two vehicles ran a red light on State Route 4, but the investigation is still going on.
On Friday, Hannah's benefactor and friend, Barry Soper cried and placed a bouquet of flowers on the Dumpster in San Diego. That was the place where Soper and Hannah met for the first time back in 15 years ago.
Soper told KNSD-TV:
"What a beautiful soul he was. He went through so much, then turned his life completely around,"
"I helped him stop drinking, and he was sober for the past 13 years.
Hannah began drinking at the age of 14, was living on the streets when he started his "Bumfights" career.
