Bruce Springsteen's tribute to Prince was heartwarming.

Bruce Springsteen opened his Brooklyn concert with a breathtaking tribute to music legend Prince at the Barclays Center on Saturday.

Springsteen and his E Street Band performed a rendition of Prince’s iconic ‘Purple Rain’ as the opener for a show in Brooklyn.

The singer praised Prince saying “there’s never been any better”.

The Barclays Center was covered in purple lights as the singer opted for the emotional cover of Prince’s biggest hit to start the show.

As Springsteen performed the musical tribute, many in the crowd held up lighters and their cell phone flashlights.

The Born to Run singer admitted that he has been a huge fan of Prince although they never collaborated.

“Whenever I catch one of his shows I always leave humble. So, I'm going to miss that and we're going to miss him,” Springsteen told the crowd during the concert.

At the end of the tribute, Springsteen said, “Prince forever. God bless!”

During this weekend, the world mourned with memories and paid tribute to honor the music superstar Prince, who died Thursday at age 57.

Director Spike Lee hosted a block party in Forte Green in memory of Prince on Thursday just hours after news broke of the singer’s death.

Questlove also held a Prince tribute later that night at the Brooklyn Bowl.

Saturday Night Live also honored Prince during its hour-long episode titled ‘Goodnight Prince’ which highlighted the times he appeared on the show since 1981.
