Former teen singing sensation Melissa Schuman came forward last Saturday on her personal blog, claiming Carter had sexually assaulted her fifteen years ago while filming the movie “The Hallow.” According to her, the alleged event happened in 2002, at the height of their careers, Carter (22) in Backstreet boys and Schuman (18) in Dream. The pair had met after their respective record labels set up a phone call to set them up on a date.

She claims the alleged event occurred when Carter invited her to hang out in his apartment in Santa Monica. Schuman accepted the offer and went along with a female friend but was quickly separated from her as soon as she reached there. Carter took her to this office to listen to music he was working on, both started kissing right after as mentioned on her blog.

After this moment after everything began to turn horrific as she writes on her blog, from kissing to performing oral sex on her and then asking her to do the same in return.

With her repeated rejections, she writes “he was becoming visually and clearly growing very angry and impatient with her. I couldn’t leave. It was evident to me, that I couldn’t leave. He was stronger and much bigger than me, and there was no way I would be able to open that door or have anyone help me. My friend couldn’t help me, I didn’t even know where she was. So when he placed my hand on his penis my thought was the only way to get out was to get him to finish what he had started.

The ordeal was far from over for Schuman, after that he threw her on a bed and climbed on top of her and proceeded to rape her. Schuman does not hold back and gives a graphic account of her ordeal in her blog, having gone through that trauma she wanted to pretend it never happened and quickly drove home in shock next morning. She lived with shame, horror, shock, and denial for years and even lost passion for music as she recalls.

Inspiration to go public came to her after Carter was investigated for molesting a female fan back in 2006. Radar Online claims to have access to a case filed by Key West Police Department in 2006, where victim claims to be forced into performing oral sex.

Carter is yet to respond to the public allegation.
