Baby Spice Emma Bunton opens up about her marriage plans with fiance Jade Jones

It’s been long, actually almost two decades, since the two met each other but the two are yet to tie the knot!!! But the couple is still going strong, very strong. Emma Bunton, one-fifth of the famous girl band The Spice Girls, met the singer turned Chef Jade Jones back in 1996. Now fast forward almost 20 years, and they are parents to two adorable kids- namely Beau, 7, and Tate, 4. So after such a strong relation and a wonderful family, what’s keeping Baby Spice Emma from making Jones her husband?????

Speaking in the new issue of Essentials magazine, the 39-year-old said: ‘We’re always like “Oh, we should do that one day, shouldn’t we?” and then we’re like “Yeah, when?”…”I dunno”. And then we forget about it.’ ‘We’re both Aquarians and terrible at organising things, so I was gobsmacked he’d even managed to organise that ( gathering at proposal), never mind either of us planning an actual wedding.’ Well, it looks as if she is not going to marry soon. Nonetheless, the former Spice Girls appears to be enjoying motherhood as she is usually seen spending time with her family. Just recently, she headed off to Thorpe Park with her beautiful family to watch Little Mix perform at a special gig and the star looked absolutely sensational in a blush pink shirt and ripped denim jeans.

The actress, who stands at a height of 5’1”, was also asked about how she is catching up with other members of the fab band. The singer replied that it was "strong friendship" that keeps her bandmates united, almost two decades after they burst on to the pop scene. The 39-year old, who topped the charts in July 1996 as one-fifth of Britain's most successful girl band, said her love for Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisholm, Geri Halliwell, and Victoria Beckham remains as firm as ever, even after all those years.

Four of the group made it to David Beckham's 40th birthday party in Morocco earlier this year, while Bunton was also invited to Halliwell's wedding to Formula 1 supremo Christian Horner in May.

Speaking to the Sunday Express S magazine, the Heart radio breakfast show host said: "It's bizarre because sometimes it (topping the charts with the Spice Girls) feels like it was yesterday, and other times it feels like it was over 20 years ago.

"But girls have still got such a strong friendship and we still love our music.

"The support of our fans is unbelievable, too. They've grown up with us, and we still get so many letters and messages. It still feels very special."

Not only this, the RJ also plans to add another member to her family. She said: "I think they're happy and we're happy as a little four-piece, but I wouldn't rule out a third. Who knows what the future holds?"

Bunton's debut solo album, A Girl Like Me, was released in the United Kingdom on 16 April 2001 by Virgin Records. The album debuted and peaked at number four on the UK Albums Chart, with 21,500 copies sold in its first week. Singles "What Took You So Long?", "Take My Breath Away", and "We're Not Gonna Sleep Tonight" helped the album stay on the UK Albums Chart for several weeks. On 7 September 2001, A Girl Like Me was certified gold by the British Phonographic Industry for sales in excess of 100,000 copies, ultimately becoming the 147th best-selling album in the United Kingdom for 2001. The album brought the UK number-one "What Took You So Long?" as well as top-five hits "What I Am" (a cover of a 1988 song by Edie Brickell & New Bohemians) and "Take My Breath Away" and the top 20 hits "We're Not Gonna Sleep Tonight". The album sold 125,000 copies in the United Kingdom.

With a net worth of $30 million, the hot singer has also bagged many TV appearances apart from her numerous songs. This includes Don’t Stop Believing, Lorainne, Your Face Sounds Familiar, and X-Factor. Also, with around 142K followers on Instagram and 1.2 million Twitter followers, it is without a doubt that she remains a popular figure and her stints as a Spice Girls member have not been forgotten. Now, busy raising a family, all that’s left is the news saying that the lovely couple is married!

Updated: After 21 years, Bunton and Jones finally got married in July 2021 in an intimate ceremony.
