NASCAR racers have always been known to have flamboyant relationships. Likewise, AJ Allmendiger, who divorced his model wife Lynne kushnirenko about two years back, is all set to get back into the marriage wagon with his present girlfriend Tara Meador.
AJ and Tara, who began seeing each other just months after the divorce, have already begun preparations for their marriage. Sources claim the wedding could be as early as the first week of February 2016. AJ and Tara are also said to be throwing an engagement party on the 1st of January 2015.
AJ, who sources say is in some sort of hurry to be married to Tara, has already assigned wedding planners to go ahead and prepare for an extravagant ceremony.
He has also reportedly purchased a spectacular ring for his soon to be wife from one of the leading jewelers in the West Coast.
He has been known to say that Tara is the love of his life and that he knew this since the first day he met his current girlfriend. He also was seen taking Tara for a circuit run on practice laps, something he never did for his ex-wife Lynne.
Prior to marrying his ex wife Lynne, the two were dating for over four years. There were rumors circulating at that time that he was highly skeptical about the marriage and was having many second thoughts, so much so that at one time he was sure he wasn’t going to go through with it.
As a professional, AJ has had a very successful career so far. His stats for the last three years are currently one of the most impressive among NASCAR drivers.
In just over 40 races he has reached pole position twice. He has held 14 podium finishes and has five major wins, all in less than three years.
His next race has been scheduled for the 13th of February, where he hopes to win and extend his lead over his opponents in the championship race for the 2015-16 seasons.
The race being a sprint race, a category AJ specializes in, analyst have said he is currently the most favored driver to win the race.
This year, due to his impressive performance over the past few years, he was awarded with a five year contract extension with JTG Daugherty, which will enable him to be with the team through the 2020 season.
AJ is just 34 years of age, having celebrated his birthday last week on the 16th of December. He also has plans to continue racing well into his early forties. He stands at a height of 1.68 meters, which is considered to be the optimum height for a race car driver.
His net worth and career earnings are estimated to be $18 million dollars, making him one of the richest NASCAR drivers currently driving.
