Look who’s getting back into the dating game? If reports are to be believed, Kara Tointon is reportedly dating TV host Matt Johnson. The actress’s new relationship begins after her split from “Strictly Come Dancing” partner Artem Chigvintsev just last year.
The 31-year-old actress, who's best known for playing Dawn Swann in BBC soap 'EastEnders', has lately been spotted looking "very loved-up" with the 'This Morning' presenter. One eyewitness saw the pair last week at a pub in West London and told the Sunday Mirror newspaper:
"They looked very close, touching each other, and Matt put his arm around her at one point.
The Strictly Come Dancing Champion has been spotted out on dates with the former This Morning presenter. Matt finished his stint on This Morning in 2013 and has since become a regular presenter of The NATIONAL LOTTERY and Surprise, Surprise, alongside Holly Willoughby. He also recently appeared on ITV reality show Celebrity Dinner Date.
Insiders report that Kara and Artem, her ex-boyfriend, fell in love as they spent time together in the competition. The two eventually started dating but their relationship was dogged by the Russian dancer’s visa problems, which kept them apart for months at a time, and they split last November.
Now at the age of 31, the hot actress is best known for playing Dawn Swann in BBC soap opera EastEnders has gained further fame after winning the 2010 season of BBC television series Strictly Come Dancing. Born to Ken and Carol in Basildon, Essex, she was brought up in Leigh-on-Sea. She attended St Michael's School, Leigh, and St Hilda's School, Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex. Tointon was diagnosed with dyslexia at age seven. She had speech and drama lessons at school. For about one year when she was a teenager, she dated James Bourne of the bands Busted, Son of Dork, and McBusted.
In August 2009, she was unveiled as the new face of Michelle for George underwear at Asda. Two years later, Tointon, who stands at a height of 5’4”, took part in the BT Red Nose Desert Trek for Comic Relief 2011 and it was announced in the same year that Kara would play a lead role in the new film 'Last Passenger' acting opposite Dougray Scott.
Now happy with Matt, the actress remains a popular personality with quite a number of followers on Twitter and Instagram. Insiders report that she was in a lot of stress after her divorce. Nonetheless, her rumoured beau, Matt, is no stranger to relationship traumas either, as the lovable Welsh presenter had to defend his honour against rumours that he'd been dating three of Made In Chelsea's cast all at the same time. In October 2014, rumour-mill went into meltdown when Matt was forced to deny whispering's that he'd been dating Stephanie Pratt, Cheska Hull and Fran Newman-Young. It was later confirmed that the rumors were all fake.
