He, then got married to Jeri McBride, later in the same year and got divorced ten years later.

The same year of his second divorce, Robert fell in love with Christine Bolster, who at that time was the model for Guess Jeans. They got married and they have four children together. Although, their marriage lasted for 25 long years, Christine filed for divorce in 2013 and after much paper work and legal drama, the husband and wife got separated. Now, it seems they are already over it.

Sources around the internet have stated that this couple got divorced as the result of conflicting belief and personal difference that were too late to fix. Christine even asked Robert to pay for all the legal expenses and had asked for spousal support.

Not only is he is an eminent actor, but also a good singer. Known for his ‘Angelic’ voice he has released various albums. Robert is widely praised for his performance as both an actor and as a jazz singer.  He  also has various directorial credits under his name.
