Initially, Tosh was an employee of the Central Florida Research Park where he used to work as a telemarketer. After his graduation, he began touring the comedy club circuit. 

Then, he joined the comedy field as the "New Faces" at  Just for Laughs which was held in Montreal back in 1998. Two years later, his act was televised in the Theater Saint-Denis, Montreal. 

 Tosh's professional career breakthrough occurred when he performed on the Late Show with the David Letterman. He also appeared on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Premium Blend of Comedy Central as well as Jimmy Kimmel Live.
